Product Introduction

  • The S-M.ZT intelligent on-load capacity and voltage regulating transformer is a new type of smart distribution transformer featuring automatic capacity regulation and on-load voltage regulation. The transformer is designed with two rated capacity operating modes and can automatically detect load variations and adjust transformer capacity accordingly.
  • Through a dedicated on-load capacity and voltage regulating switch, the transformer can automatically switch between capacities without power interruption, enabling continuous and reliable operation.
  • Compared with conventional distribution transformers, the S-M.ZT intelligent transformer can automatically switch between large-capacity and small-capacity operating modes, achieving dynamic matching between transformer capacity and load demand. This significantly reduces no-load losses, improves power grid efficiency, and provides an energy-saving and intelligent solution for modern distribution systems.

  • The S-M.ZT automatic capacity regulating transformer is particularly suitable for power distribution systems with large load fluctuations or strong seasonal electricity demand, including:

  • In rural power networks, electricity consumption is typically high during the summer and autumn farming seasons, while demand is relatively low during other periods. Conventional transformers may experience overload during peak seasons or inefficient operation at low load levels.
  • The S-M.ZT intelligent transformer can automatically adjust its capacity to match load demand, effectively solving the problem of oversized transformers operating at low load, thereby improving the economic efficiency of grid operation.

Structural Features

  • 1. Fully Sealed Corrugated Oil Tank
  • The 10kV on-load capacity and voltage regulating transformer adopts a fully sealed corrugated oil tank structure. The corrugated fins can compensate for oil volume changes caused by temperature variations while improving heat dissipation, ensuring safe and reliable operation.
  • 2. High-Permeability Core Design
  • The transformer core is made of high-permeability grain-oriented silicon steel and adopts a 45° fully stepped lap joint structure, effectively reducing core losses and operating noise while improving overall efficiency.
  • 3. All-Copper Windings
  • Both high-voltage and low-voltage windings are made of high-quality copper conductors. The cylindrical winding structure provides excellent electrical performance and strong short-circuit resistance.
  • 4. Optimized Insulation Structure
  • The transformer body adopts an optimized insulation design to enhance mechanical strength, improve short-circuit withstand capability, and ensure stable long-term operation.

Core Functions

  • 1. Automatic Capacity Regulation
  • The S-M.ZT intelligent transformer provides two capacity levels (large and small) and automatically adjusts the operating capacity according to load changes.
  • 2. Automatic Switching Without Power Interruption
  • When the load becomes light or approaches no-load conditions, the system can automatically switch to the smaller capacity mode without power interruption, significantly reducing no-load losses.
  • 3. Automatic Voltage Regulation
  • Through the intelligent on-load capacity and voltage regulating switch, the transformer can automatically perform:
  • High-voltage winding Star (Y) / Delta (D) switching
  • Low-voltage winding series / parallel switching
  • This enables automatic capacity adjustment and voltage regulation.
  • 4. Intelligent Distribution Management
  • When combined with a low-voltage distribution management terminal, the system can provide:
  • Automatic capacity regulation
  • Automatic voltage regulation
  • Distribution system monitoring
  • Reactive power compensation
  • Energy metering and data acquisition
  • Wireless remote monitoring (“four-remote” functions)
